Welp, so, clearly I just can't stop making stuff for this AU, even if it's been nearly a year since it happened.

Anyway, to c/p from my other FST post - this is kind of an AU of an AU of an AU. If that makes any sense. Or, for this challenge, a crossover between Hetalia and Harry Potter. :') Anyway, uh, another mix for a future-verse event that was held at sortinghat_rp, which is where this crossover AU springs from. Aka I'm retarded and spend a bit too much time in fantasy lands. Basically, Harry Potter AU Spain, with the added bonus of an event that sends him ten years into his own future - during the first wizarding war.

TL;DR - Antonio is a wizard, the war against Voldemort starts, he joins the wrong side to protect Lovino, Emmeline, and everyone else. But, of course, shit goes down, and then they run away before time turns back. Yes, I over think these things. And still totally attached to this AU like burning.

The fic in this one kind of jumps around a lot - I tried to get the bits here to fill in holes left in other fic/ficmixes I've done before, especially since this was the first one I've ever done that's exclusively from Antonio's point of view. I tried to start from right when he leaves to his own sort of absolution - which is about 6+ years of time, what. So ack, my apologies for the strange vignettes this has, but hopefully they flow together okay, even if you're not at all familiar with the RP or this particular plot.

Anyway, this was (yet again) accidentally made for singustosleep's July challenge - with the theme of crossover, and the art prompt of primary colors. I have no idea how the cover managed to get red, green, and blue on it but... uh, there you go. Again, my apologies for all the horrible fic inside. And yup, yet again I took some liberties with the timeline the event gave, but it's mostly on track with what had been planned and also played out.

ANYWAY, big giant thank you to confictionery, who, as she always does, helped me read over the fic and talked to me endlessly about it. I hope everyone can enjoy it anyway, even if this is ridiculous. PSST - interested in this AU? Check this tag for more I've written for it. :')

This I honestly have no idea what happened, haha. When I checked singustosleep's prompt for this month - at the movies, with black and white for the art prompt - this was the first movie I thought of. I'm not sure why, but it wouldn't leave my brain, so I stuck with it.

The Fountain is a bit of a weird movie. Parts are about a conquistador and his queen - sent across the ocean to find immortality and free his queen from the hold of the church. Others a modern romance - the woman slowly dying, and the man trying to do everything he can to save her. And the last parts are of a man, seemingly travelling alone through space - a dying tree his only company as he hallucinates about the dead woman he still loves. They all intermingle and form a single story - which can be interpreted a number of ways. But at the core of it, it's a love story, told in three different times.

Anyway, the movie itself has an amazing and very haunting score to it, and I wanted to do something a little different from the score - so, I purposely picked songs with lyrics, instead of instrumentals. This is nowhere near as beautiful as the soundtrack and the movie itself, but I tried to at least capture the different parts of the movie, as strange as the timeline within it is. And, I hope that even if you haven't seen the movie, you'll enjoy the mix.

I've slowly been falling more and more in love with these two - either as affectionate friends or lazy lovers. Both are rather warm and loving - Spain, all smiles and sun; Belgium, teasing and sweet. Though their interaction has been limited in the series (let alone Belgium actually existing as a character in canon, what), the bit they've had have been sweet and silly, and their personalities are both as warm as summer air.

This, ironically, isn't very history heavy; I tried to focus more on their general relationship, although a few songs here and there might point towards a certain timeframe or point in their lives. Really, I tried to make it as warm and sweet as they usually are, and I hope that feeling gets across. :') I suppose this could even work for a general "summer/love in the summer" FST, I dunno.

Anyway, this was yet another FST I picked at randomly for months, only to find songs when I'm not looking for them. Originally, this was a request from a quick FST meme from confictionery, and I liked both the pairing and the general mix enough to expand on it. Hopefully I did okay. Cover art comes from here on Pixiv. My bad for using fanart, but it was too perfect for what I had in mind.

Another giant thank you to confictionery, who helped me - as always - with song suggestions, encouragement, and helping me dork over two very silly characters that both of us can't seem to do anything but love. Thank you bb, this is for you. ♥

This is honestly something I've been picking at and shelving on and off for months, and I only just recently finished it for real, haha. For something I originally made on a whim, it certainly turned into something I scratched my head a lot over. Romano, you are a very complex little guy, I swear.

This ended up being made (somewhat) for singustosleep's April challenge - with the theme of minor character, and the prompt of repetition. The repetition is in the trees and details on the covers, see? Yeah, it's bad, I'm sorry. I nearly missed the posting date - silly me, thinking April lasted another day - sorry about that! While Romano may not exactly be the most "minor" character - even with the crazy amount of characters in Hetalia - he's definitely not one of the main characters, and that certainly messes with the poor guy's head.

Romano is one giant ball of insecurities and swear words, and I'm not sure I can accurately put into words just what a mess this poor guy is. With a history of being lorded over and slapped around, and a little brother that everyone pays attention to instead, he's got a ton of reasons for his prickly attitude. But, he's still a stubborn little hothead, who tries so hard and usually ends up getting the short end of the stick. I love him to death, and I hope this FST does his character some justice. Lord knows I scratched my head over it enough.

I also want to throw a big thank you to confictionery, who - as per her always - patiently listened to me babble while I tried to figure this out, and gave me some lovely song suggestions. ♥ THANK YOU, BB.

Well, even after all the years, these two are still pretty much my top OTP. I love their dysfunctional relationship - the uneasy friendship they share, the constant spats they have, and the trust they both share in each other even with all the fights. They're complex and crazy, and I still adore them to pieces. And even after all the FSTs I've made for them, I still had tracks sitting around and more to add...

Anyway! This was done for singustosleep's February challenge - with the theme of OTP, and the art prompt of stars. The covers kinda turned out... hipster looking on accident. Clearly, stars just make things look hipster, haha. And the fic I kinda... slacked and pieced together in a fever last minute, so I'm sorry if it's horrible and disjointed.

WOW man, this is a fst that really I've been working on and off on for the past few years. Well, really it was just a fst that I never posted and decided to shelve, but I finally got the inspiration to pick it up again.

This was done for singustosleep's January challenge - with the theme of villain, and the art prompt monochromatic. Zelos may not exactly be a villain, but depending on the choices you make, he can certainly end up as one.

tl;dr I still love this guy - Zelos, the man who can be the traitor, the half-villain, and the reluctant hero that you grow to love or hate. He's rather annoyingly complex, so I won't delve into that too much. Just know this FST barely scrapes this guy. I tried to allude to both paths that can be taken with Zelos, although it's a little purposefully heavy on one in particular. And uh, yeah, massive spoilers all over ~~for a 6-7 year old game~~. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! Oh, and er, one song is a little Zelos/Sheena, but I'm sure you can pleasantly ignore the references in it...

I think it would be fun to talk about stories, but the usual memes are like, "What happens next?" "Tell me about Character A?" Which isn't so much talking about stories as it is writing more of a story. But you know how sometimes you read something and you're like, "I got ___ out of this story, I wonder if I have that right?" or "What on earth was ____ supposed to be?" and it's too awkward to ask the author? Now you could totally ask!

I've heard people say that writing is hard because you have to make decisions, but we never really talk about the decisions we make with stories or why we make them. We talk about plot bunnies, but not about how we actually turn them into a story.

And it seems like a lot more fun to do that than to do working.

So, if you wanted, ask me questions! (Or use this to ask your flist to ask you questions).

What were you trying to do [here]? Why did you decide to ____? This is what I thought about xyz, is that what you were going for? What made you write ____? Why did you decide to do this? And so on.
